Internal threats make up 80% of the security breaches, according to analysts. Insider threats range from accidental incidents, such as malware running on laptops, and all the way through malicious attacks, such as intentional data leakage. Although 90% of those incidents are accidental, it doesn’t diminish the damage. Furthermore, the minority that is intentional typically represent the most sensitive data in the company.
