Internal Network File Sharing
The Windows operating system makes it simple for users to share their file folders and hard drives to other users. It’s extremely common for the “Everyone Share” privileges to be configured incorrectly, allowing any individual within the network to have access to private corporate information intended for a restricted audience.
In a recent report, Promisec found that over 20% of endpoints had “Everyone Share” privileges set incorrectly. This is particularly dangerous when top-level executives have set their hard drives for public access, which was the case in a number of organizations.
Promisec identifies and resolves Everyone Share privileges, protecting organizations from data leakage.
